How to verify CPSC laboratory scope

Match four things
The verification record should match:

- The testing date and report

If the listing or report uses different legal citations or method names, do not infer equivalence without qualified review. Ask the laboratory to resolve the discrepancy and document the response.
When to repeat verification
Verify scope before placing a testing order and again when reviewing the final report. Repeat the check if testing moves to another facility, the applicable standard changes, the report is amended, or old evidence is reused for a new product or production period.
